In late summer of 2025, Mount Sinai South Nassau Community Hospital’s J‑Wing expansion will be completed. Thanks to this project, the hospital wing will bring more space and major upgrades to patient care areas, lobby entrances, and indoor offices. Above All Storefronts is proud to have been a part of this project.
Project Scope
For Mt. Sinai’s South Nassau’s J-Wing expansion project, we supplied and installed various architectural systems to enhance the building’s performance and overall appearance. Here is an overview of what we worked on in more detail:
Exterior Storefront & Entrances
Part of this project’s scope was the addition of J-Wing’s entrance and windows.
We used 42 Kawneer Trifab 451T storefront windows. These are known for their clean lines and energy efficiency. They also make it easy to enhance light during daylight hours in the hospital. As for the entrance vestibules (3 pairs of doors and 2 single doors), we used Kawneer 350 Tuffline doors. They’re durable, ADA-compliant, and will provide a secure point of entry for everyone who visits.
Approximately 1,000 linear feet of stainless-steel trim was also installed around the building to add a seamless finish. Seven exterior louvers and a Skyline feature wall of glass complete the exterior part, offering plenty of ventilation and giving the hospital a more modern appearance.

Interior Partition & Glazing Work
On the interior of the hospital, we installed six Nello demountable partitions. Healthcare facilities’ needs change all the time, so these walls were made with flexibility in mind. Staff can easily move them around whenever the hospital’s needs change.
Besides interior walls, Above All Storefronts installed three Nello office doors with side glass panels and additional interior glazing. These additions were made to give indoor spaces a more modern look and make them more inviting for patients and staff.
Safety Elements
Safety regulations are a top priority in any construction project. For Mt. Sinai South Nassau’s J-Wing Addition, we installed a pair of SaftiFirst two-hour rated doors. These doors meet strict safety standards to ensure the safety of everyone in the building if there’s an emergency.
Our team also installed 30 linear feet of stainless steel handrails to support patients in critical areas of the hospital. These railings are strong and easy to keep clean, making them a perfect addition for a healthcare environment.
Project Impact
Above All Storefronts’ team was proud to play an important part in Mount Sinai South Nassau’s J-Wing expansion. Thanks to our glazing work, safety enhancements, and exterior storefront systems, the hospital’s expansion is ready to meet the patients’ needs once it opens at the end of the summer.
