Project Spotlight: Wegman’s

A recent project exemplifies the power of thoughtful design, high-performance materials, and expert craftsmanship, all coming together across 17 elevations of stunning curtain wall installations. Spanning approximately 5,000 square feet, this façade features the robust Kawneer 1600 Curtain Wall system. To ensure a unique visual identity, the entire system was finished with a custom 4-coat paint color, offering both durability and a distinctive aesthetic tailored to the project’s design vision.

In order to optimize performance and meet specific architectural requirements, several integrated elements were incorporated, including:

  • Insulated vision and spandrel glazing, provided by Press Glass, ensure both transparency and thermal performance where needed.
  • Security film by NGS adds an essential layer of protection.
  • Louvers, back panels, and beam covers were added to meet ventilation, concealment, and structural needs.
  • Custom decorative sill fascia panels, masterfully fabricated by Castle Architectural Metals, provide a refined finishing touch that elevates the overall aesthetic of the installation.

Entrance Solutions Designed for Performance and Style

To support a variety of entry and circulation needs throughout the building, the following door systems were integrated:

  • Kawneer entrance doors
  • Ellison balanced doors
  • Stanley sliding doors
