Dick’s Sporting Goods has opened its first House of Sport concept store in the New York City area. It’s located inside the Newport Center shopping center in Jersey City, N.J. The 85,000 square foot store is the retailer’s smallest House of Sport location. The store is typically over 100,000 square feet.
Store Features
House of Sport offers the same equipment and athletic apparel as traditional stores but also provides an interactive space where shoppers can find inspiration and practice their skills.
The Jersey City store features a wide range of footwear, apparel and accessories from national brands, as well as the retailer’s private-label brands.
The store amenities include a climbing wall, multiple golf bays with TrackMan simulators, and a multi-sport cage that can be used for baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer and field hockey.
This is the second urban location in New England for House of Sport. The first one, a 120,000 square foot store, opened at the Prudential Center in Boston in May 2024.
